Open only to Certified Couples
Workshop Presenters
Goal:
This course is designed to prepare the Certified Couples Workshop
Presenter to present intensive 18-hour workshops for Singles.
Certification
Permissions:
Graduates may:
represent
themselves publicly as Certified Singles Workshop Presenters;
conduct
Keeping The Love You Find Singles Workshops.
Admission Requirements:
Applicant must
be
a Certified Couples Workshop Presenter for at least one year
prior to application;
attend,
as a participant, a singles workshop presented by a Certified
Singles Workshop Presenter;
complete
all the requirements for the Preparation for Committed Partnership:
Singles Clinical Training and Advanced Clinical Supervision Training.
Course Requirements:
During the formal coursework, applicant must:
complete
the three-day training program and receive a positive evaluation
from the Course Instructor(s).
Post Course Requirements:
Within 12 months of the completion of the formal course, the
Workshop Presenter Candidate must:
serve
as a support therapist at a Singles Workshop conducted by a Certified
Singles Workshop Presenter;
Lead
no more than TWO Singles Workshops until their certification.
The second workshop must be observed on-site and evaluated by
a Certified Clinical Instructor who has also been certified as
a Singles Workshop Presenter. A positive evaluation from the
Certified Clinical Instructor/Singles Workshop Presenter must
be submitted to IIRT and to the Course Instructor(s). (Note:
The Singles Workshop Presenter Candidate is responsible for the
travel expense of the on-site observer and an honorarium of $500
for a minimum of five hours of observation.);
submit
participant evaluations of both training workshops to the Course
Instructor(s).
Maintaining Certification:
To maintain certification, Certified Singles Workshop Presenters
must:
be
a member of AIRT and IIRT;
attend
an annual update meeting at AIRT, every other year, or attend
an Advanced Workshop Supervision course, if available.
Therapists must inform the Institute
in writing upon the completion of their update requirements.
If these requirements are not completed, the Workshop Presenter
must cease doing workshops until they are met. If the Workshop
Presenter is inactive for two years, they must attend the annual
update and assist at a workshop offered by a Clinical Instructor
before they resume offering workshops to the public.
CE Credits: 24
Approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) for
continuing education credit through the Institute for Imago Relationship
Therapy.
