Courses
 Giving and Getting the Supervision
You Need: Imago Supervision
(SC-1)
This course will teach participants
how to conceptualize couples' dynamics through the unique Imago
lens, so that they can prepare cases and present them in a way
that will allow them to get the support they need. It will also
teach participants how to supervise others, either imago peers,
or non-imago therapists with the focus on looking at character
structure, and how it gets in our way and keeps us from being
as effective as we would like to be. Maya will use exercises,
videotapes, and lectures. Each participant is asked to bring
a videotape of a session. Enrollment
is limited to 8 participants.

material that has been created by many in our community. Maya

throughout our community and wishes to create a forum where more
voices can be heard, and where others can benefit from them.

Couples
Helping Couples: Using the Power of Couples' Groups (SC-3)
Expand the power of Imago Relationship
Therapy by offering couple's groups to your clients. Not only
do they learn from your expertise, but they learn and grow by
watching others. Maya has been facilitating couple's groups since
she became a workshop presenter in 1990 and has found that couples
that participate in these groups have greater success and are
able to hold onto the ideas and skills. Learn how to teach couple's
to facilitate each other, so that each participant in the group
will have a buddy couple to call on when they get into trouble.
Participating in a three days couples' group and also practicing
your leadership teach this course. This course is open to all
imago therapists whether partnered or not. If you are not partnered,
either bring a friend or we will work to find a partner for you.

and missing selves by bringing a tape of your most difficult

to celebrate your failures and see them as opportunities. This

and empathize. Find new avenues to create the I-Thou experience

them to church groups and other venues around your community
that will help you build your practice and spread the Imago Word.

Characterological Growth (applies
toward Advanced Clinician certification)
NEXT
OPPORTUNITIES:
This three day experience deepens
theoretical understanding
of characterological adaptations to pain through experiential
processing at a personal level. In the Talmud there is a quote,
"We can't see the world as it is; we see it as we are."
The profound training takes the defense of projection and highlights
the many ways we put it to use. As long as projection is available
to us, we are out of connection with ourselves and others. This
personal training is both exquisitely simple and complex, at
the same time. Previous participants describe the training as
"extraordinary and transformational."
