The Workshop
Presenter's Training with Maya is an extraordinary opportunity
to experiment stepping into your growth edge . . . and having
fun doing it! Maya creates a wonderfully safe environment in
which you are challenged in a positive way.

Certification
Permissions:
Graduates of this training may:
represent
themselves publicly as Certified Couples Workshop Presenters;
conduct
Getting the Love You Want: Workshop for Couples
receive
purchase labels from the IIRT inquiry data base for their local
area to market their Couples' Workshops and have workshops listed
in the annual Resource Catalogue
have
use of IIRT's heart logo to market the Getting the Love You Want:
Workshop for Couples;
present
up to one-day seminars or lectures on Imago Relationship Therapy
for educational and/or marketing purposes;
present
one-day seminars or lectures to professionals on Imago Relationship
Therapy for educational and/or marketing purposes as long as
it is clear in all promotional material that the seminar or lecture
is educational and is not considered a training or a certification
program.
Admission Requirements:
applicant
must be a Certified Imago Therapist¨, have experience speaking
to public audiences, and have practiced Imago Relationship Therapy
with couples for one year since certification as an Imago Relationship
Therapist
the
applicant must be in good standing with IRI and and submit the
Workshop Presenter registration form along with a VHS tape showing
work as a public speaker or workshop leader taped in front of
an audience (within the last twelve months)
attend
the Advanced Clinical Supervision or Characterological Growth
course and Preparation for Committed Partnership: Singles Clinical
Training.
Course Requirements:
attend
ALL sessions (88 hours) of the formal training without exception;
complete
required readings;
serve
as clinical support staff and make a presentation at TWO 20-hour
couples workshops led by a Certified Workshop Presenter (positive
evaluations must be submitted to Course Instructor(s) from each
Certified Workshop Presenter);
organize
and lead two couples workshops:
Workshop I - between Session
I and II
Workshop II - between Session
II and III
(Workshops I and II should include
couples from participant's practice)
submit
videotaped excerpts from each workshop for assessment and receive
positive evaluations from peers and the Course Instructor(s);
execute
a Workshop Presenter contract with IIRT.
Post Course Requirements:
Within 18 months of the completion of the formal course, the
Workshop Presenter Candidate must:
write
and submit a workshop manual to their Clinical Instructor(s)
which includes a full text of lectures, description of experiential
processes and written exercises;
lead
no more than TWO (20 hour) couples workshops until their certification.
The second workshop must be observed on-site and evaluated by
a Certified Clinical Instructor. A positive evaluation by the
Certified Clinical Instructor must be submitted to IIRT and to
the Course Instructor(s). (Note: The Workshop Presenter Candidate
is responsible for the travel expenses of the on-site observer
and an honorarium of $500 for a minimum of five hours of observation);
submit
all participant evaluations from all four training workshops
to the Course Instructor(s).
Maintaining Certification:
To maintain certification, Certified Workshop Presenters must:
be
a member in good standing with AIRT;
attend
the annual update meeting every other year or attend, if available,
an Advanced Workshop Supervision training. However, all Workshop
Presenters are encouraged to attend the AIRT meeting every year;
be
a member in good standing with IRI
Therapists must inform Institute
in writing upon the completion of the update requirements. If
they are not completed, the Workshop Presenter must cease doing
workshops until the requirements are met. If the Workshop Presenter
is inactive for two years, they must attend the annual update
and assist at a workshop offered by a Clinical Instructor before
they resume offering workshops to the general public.
CE Credits: 88
Approved by the American
Psychological Association (APA) for continuing education credit
through the Institute for Imago Relationship Therapy.
